A drafted set of plans is an important part of the design process, but just a part. These Drafting Services play a vital role in communicating our ideas and concepts to people and in convincing them about the merits of our design.

INTRO/CONTRACT
PHASE
During the Introduction and Contract Phase, we will review your wants and requirements to aid you in designing your custom home. This phase is intended to establish the scope of work, decipher priorities, and establish timelines.
GATHERING
PHASE
Want to see your Pinterest pins, Houzz ideas, Facebook reels, and concepts you’ve seen living vicariously through HGTV come to life? The Gathering phase is where we listen to your ideas as well as wants and needs to begin the process of drafting.
PRE-LIM DESIGN
PHASE
In the Drafting Phase, we begin to put the puzzle pieces together. Each home serves many purposes, and in this Phase, we do our best to help you prioritize and navigate towards a floorplan that fits you best. We will work together to produce a floorplan that meets the way you desire to function and live in your home.
DESIGN PHASE
Once we’ve collaborated and have established a design that you are ready to move forward with by bringing what is on paper to life, we enter the Final Design Phase. Depending on which package you selected, we will provide you with a finalized, buildable floorplan.
SELECTION PACKAGES
To create cohesion among the myriad of selections that come with building a custom home, Murray created a way for clients to use hourly blocks of time to seek advice on different components of the home. Building a home can be overwhelming, and Murray wants clients to feel as supported as possible through such a detailed decision-making process. Along with our scheduling platform, Buildertrend, Meghan and our design team can help with ensuring that decisions are made in a prompt manner.
PACKAGE DESCRIPTIONS
BLUEPRINT DRAFTING
Drafting is the technical drawing of your home. A drafter will create the blueprint for your home that is used to submit to the city for approval and provide a plan for subcontractors to build your home according to the appropriate dimensions and building materials. A blueprint is 2D, delivered in black and white, and does not include the specific selections/details of your home.
SELECTIONS CONSULTING
Selections consulting is a service provided by Murray where you will meet with a member of our team to decide the specific finishes of your home. We will work with you to select the various materials that are used inside and outside the home, such as stone, tile, doors, flooring, carpet, cabinets, lights, etc.
3D DESIGN SERVICES
3D design services allow you to see your home and the selections you made in a 3D virtual format. This includes the placement of your specific tile, cabinetry, countertops, stone color, and more - to help you visualize your home with all the design details included. If you are interested in how your selections create a cohesive design, this service will be beneficial for you.
