Murray Custom Homes has more exciting news! In February of this year, Murray Custom Homes officially welcomed Meghan Turner to the home builders team as Business Development & Design Director.

EXPANDING DRAFTING, 3-D, & DESIGN SERVICES

Since the company's start, owner & President, Matt Murray, has led the charge of drafting custom home blueprints for Murray clients. As the company continues to expand, Murray recognized a need to add another drafter and capitalize on the opportunity to expand its offerings to clients. By adding Meghan to the team, Murray Custom Homes now offers expansive 3-D drafting and home design selections packages as add-on services for custom home clients.

Over time, Murray Custom Homes received feedback from clients on a desire to better visualize their homes throughout the build process. The addition of Meghan and this service is one of the many ways Murray is listening carefully to customer feedback and creating solutions to meet their wants and needs.

Murray Custom Homes Blueprints

HOW IT WORKS

The first step of the custom home drafting and design process is to develop a set of blueprints with the layout and build details for the home. From there, clients can choose to add different packages to enhance how they visualize and complete various aspects of their home.

3-D PACKAGES

Some people are naturally more visual learners, so 3-D packages are a fantastic way to bring a 2-D design to life. Clients selecting a 3-D package are armed with a more complete picture and understanding of the function of the home. Depending on the package type, clients can view their specific selection materials inside and outside the home, such as stone type, window color, flooring type, cabinet details, and more. These offerings will allow clients greater clarity and the ability to visualize their custom home as it comes together. Virtual walkthroughs will also be available as a part of the package, where Meghan can digitally walk clients through their new home room by room.

SELECTIONS PACKAGES

To create cohesion among the myriad of selections that come with building a custom home, Murray created a way for clients to use hourly blocks of time to seek advice on different components of the home. Building a home can be overwhelming, and Murray wants clients to feel as supported as possible through such a detailed decision-making process. Along with our scheduling platform, Buildertrend, Meghan and our design team can help with ensuring that decisions are made in a prompt manner.

Although Murray will offer these services in-house, clients are still able and encouraged to work with independent interior designers and interior design firms as they wish throughout the build. The Murray Custom Homes team is eager to collaborate with various design professionals to bring a client’s vision to life.

ABOUT MEGHAN

Meghan has had a passion for design since an early age. She brings to the team more than 6 years in real estate appraisal and has worked behind the scenes designing homes for Murray over the past few years. While she graduated from UNL with a Business Administration Degree, she spent two years in the interior design division before changing majors.

Some of her work includes two of our Firethorn spec homes, homes on acreages, as well as homes in Lincoln and the surrounding communities. In addition to drafting, Meghan also has experience with 3-D design and a vast understanding of floorplans. Her background and experience will bring an added advantage to the Murray team.
